StoryEdit

As a young child, he and Vayle lived in the same village. When they were both young, he tried to rescue her from a river, but they were both washed downstream to an underground cave. While trying to find their way out, they stumbled upon the darkness orb, which both touched. Although Vayle gave into the darkness, Artix remained strong and vowed to always stand for good. Later, when his village was destroyed by zombies (controlled by Noxus in order to kill Vayle's brother and gain her loyalty), he joined the Paladin Order to defeat the undead.

During the Necropolis Saga, he crosses paths with Vayle again, who is now known as the Necromantress. After an unsuccessful attempt to win her support, Artix and "The Player" confront Noxus, ultimately beating him with Vayle's help. Artix can be found at the door of the Necropolis and at the entrance of Amityvale's graveyard.

Artix Krieger: - Greetings and salutations friend! Wow, are you [insert your character name here]? I am so glad you are in DoomWood. It is an honor to finally meet you.
Player: Thanks, its nice to meet you too. What are you up to here?
Artix Krieger: Excoricising the undead to free their souls. It is also a great excercise.
Undead: *Groan*
Player: Need a hand?
Undead: *Snicker*
You & Artix Krieger: - Heh...
Followed by a list of undead-puns...(too lazy to do it. Someone Screenshoot it for me)
Player: So... do you always hang out in creepy Graveyards battling the Undead?
Artix Krieger: No, not all the time. Sometimes I go to Underground Crypts, Lich Lairs, Mummy Tombs and the occasional Shopping Mall.
Player: *He really likes fighting the undead.* Wait... the mall?
Artix Kriegrer: Indeed! The undead LOVE malls. Someone puts up a sale and they swarm like bees! *coughs* Zom-bees!
Zombie #1: *Was about to groan...* shawwwwwping? Arewwww...
Zombie #2: Arrrewwww... bruuu wright saaaale!?
Zombie #3: Arghhhh... disssssscount barrrgaaaargins!?
Artix Kriegrer: Say, if you are battling against the creatures of Darkness it would be an honor to come with you.
Player: Sure, as long as you keep up!
Artix Kriegrer: ! I like the way you think, this is going to be fun. Lead the way friend!
Player: *Wow, and not a single typo in that entire dialog.*

Bottom Option: Leave Edit

Takes you back to Amityvale, where you were about to enter the graveyard.

ServicesEdit

Joins you in party after selection of Team Up! button. It says: "Let's battle the undead! Artix may only be level 3 (Because the feature that lets you level him up is not in place yet) but he can hit undead monsters 100 levels higher than him. Have fun!"

Location: Amityvale Graveyard, Well, Well, Well, Falconreach

It is said that Artix (the real-life Artix) is going to make the in-game Artix "levelable" in the future. Artix said in the design notes "Guess which NPC will make his final home and become levelable in the haunted forest! ^_^" It is posible to get 2 Artixes as your guests. First go to Falconreach and invite Artix as friend B, then go to Well, Well, Well and finish the quest. You should have 2 Artixes as your guests.

Note: This is no longer possible, as Artix has been replaced in Falconreach by a news and signboard that gives several options (i.e. travel, news, etc)

It is also possible to become child Artix. First complete the mission "The Green Mist" then put on your Paladin armour. Then start the mission "Artix Vs. The Unde" defeat your first enemies. After defeating them go back and walk out of the mission. Then take of your armour and you will be child Artix. However you cannot equip any weapons and your stats are quite low.
